katy_ad Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Howdy, I upgraded to Growing plan on Acuity specifically so my clients could purchase gift certificates for other people, so those other people can then use the gift certificates to book my services. 1) PROBLEM: There's no way for the person who purchases the gift certificate, to purchase and send it *to someone else*?? That seems dumb to me. Since when do people purchase gift certificates for themselves? 2) All of my services are purchased via direct link. My services are not available to book on a public calendar bc I need to discuss details with clients first before determining how long their appointment will take. Why is there no way for a Gift Certificate to exist without it also containing a direct link to my booking calendar? So far it seems like the only option, that I'm pay extra for, is for a person to purchase a Gift Certificate for themselves and then they're able to access my calendar, which isn't supposed to be publicly available. This seems like a very dumb system to me? And defeats the point of these things being "gifts"? All I want is a system where a person can buy a (digital) Gift Certificate for X dollars, which can then be sent to another person, who can then redeem X dollars when booking with me. Thousands of companies already do e-Gifts this way. Why is this so hard. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. jzr25 1
ASMassage Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 I have the same question....did you figure out the solution? jzr25 1
jzr25 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Same issue you here. Adding another voice to the chorus on this one. Acuity please help!
ral605 Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 We have a button on my wife's website for purchasing a gift certificate. The GC is the only item you can interact with. Once the person purchases it, they can email the GC to the person they bought it for. Is that what you are trying to do? You can see the options for emailing or printing at the top of the page (screenshot attached). Here's the issue we have. If you sell a 3 pack of GCs, they all have the same code. So, you can't offer a 3 pack and give them to 3 different people without each recipient having the code for all three GCs.
