avantsmith
Hello, I am new to Squarespace and this is my first blog. I have created a custom domain e-mail on my iCloud account which I am trying to connect to my Domain here on Squarespace. iCloud gave me all the settings to transfer and log into my Domain, so I went to the Domain setting clicked on edit DNS setting where I entered the custom iCloud TXT MX and CNAME. This does not seem to have worked so I am looking for help on how to proceed from here. I am not that tech savvy, so any help will be appreciated. Ps! I have not published my page yet - if this would make any difference? Thanks Lisa Link to comment

Z_Creative
I know this is an old post but thought I'd put my limited advice in anyways for any future readers. (I'm defo. not an expert but have set up outlook and an smtp for my own domain so vaguely understand how it works.) I would start by spell checking your dns entries, or better still copy and paste the provided name, data values etc. so there's no errors. Wait a day or so. DNS records can take between 24-48 hours (sometimes 72!) to propegate. You won't be able to find them until this has happened. You can use a tool like mxtoolbox.com/DnsLookup.aspx to check if your DNS records are showing up. If step 3 shows that they are there but iCloud or whatever mail service etc. you are linking to still isn't verified/working I would contact the help team of your mail service/iCloud etc. If the records don't show up on step 3 or an error comes up, there is a problem with your DNS records which is beyond my limited knowledge. Remember it could take 48 hours for each change to your DNS records to propegate. As a side note, if your DKIM record is a CNAME record with the name format selector._domainkey.example.com (where selector is the selector of your service and example.com is your domain) and isn't working, you need to remove the .example.com from the end. (Assuming your domain is managed by squarespace) Squarespace adds this on the end of the name automatically in the backend. This had me flummoxed for quite a while. Link to comment
