Help setting up domain email for newsletter on blog

Hello,

I am new to Squarespace and this is my first blog.  I have created a custom domain e-mail on my iCloud account which I am trying to connect to my Domain here on Squarespace.  iCloud gave me all the settings to transfer and log into my Domain, so I went to the Domain setting clicked on edit DNS setting where I entered the custom iCloud TXT MX and CNAME.  This does not seem to have worked so I am looking for help on how to proceed from here.  I am not that tech savvy, so any help will be appreciated.  

Ps! I have not published my page yet - if this would make any difference?
