How can I add a product by default in my cart by using a discount code

I would like to offer my customers a default product from my store when they buy any item.

so if customer buys product A; and uses a Discount code say  'ABC' ; the shoping cart automarically adds a promotional product by default, without the customer having to add that promotional product.
