Emails with capital letters rejected from Campaigns?

We are importing CSV files containing a few hundred email addresses, and in comparing the number of entries in the original file vs. what Squarespace imported, we saw a significant discrepancy.... Squarespace had rejected any email address that contained one or more capital letters.  Is this a known issue?  Is there a workaround?
