Hello!

Can anyone help with adding a third-party review widget from Salonspy.  The current squarespace template is 7.0 - Alex & Sonny.

https://www.beautywithsarah.co.uk

This is the instruction from Salonspy with an example of how it should look:

Its designed to be full width & is responsive, so please don’t box it in.

<div class="salonspy-widget" data-type="carousel" data-token="073600481c68bcf697c20f6d0cb2629a"></div>

I used a code block previously but as its a full width it doesn't appear at all? I've tried adding a container and css to reduce the width but that didnt work either!
Attached is a screenshot in edit mode when I've added the code block. When refreshed, its just blank as if it's not there.

This is out of my skillset and I'm unsure how to make it work...can anyone help?

Thanks Mandy

Hi @Mandy_miisprint! Before we can get to the full width part, we need to figure out why it isn't showing up. It seems that the script is not loading like it does on the other website you linked. Is there something missing from the installation instructions (I couldn't find the installation instructions on Google)? Or is there something you have to enable in a dashboard or something first?

Hi @Inspirerd, thanks so much for replying so quickly! Unfortunately, that's all the info I was given via email.

Its designed to be full width & is responsive, so please don’t box it in.

<div class="salonspy-widget" data-type="carousel" data-token="073600481c68bcf697c20f6d0cb2629a"></div>

I was thinking it was because it's in 7.0 and not 7.1 or it's on a personal plan and not business?

I have emailed Salonspy explaining it's not loading correctly and if they have a widget that is not designed for full width.

Thanks Mandy

@Mandy_miisprint Okay, I am inspecting the code in that script. I believe I see a line that causes the widget to not show up if there are no reviews (it says the review count is 1827, but then shows no reviews in the script). Could that be what is happening?

@Mandy_miisprint Yes, I see the other website you linked doesn't have a problem. Maybe there is a way you can fix that on SalonSpy in a dashboard or maybe you need to contact their support. Let me know how it goes and then we can move on to the next part.
