Conditional to show/hide section in blog page

I'm looking to show/hide a section on a blog landing page based on the category being viewed. Has anyone done this? any ideas? 

For example. When a user visits "/blog?category=Podcast" I want to show a specific section at the top of the page. If that category parameter is not passed then I want to show a standard section at the top and hide the "podcast" section.

Any input is appreciated.

Disregard. I ended up creating two pages and used a "Summary" block...
