SEOSpace_Henry
Website not showing up on Google? If potential clients can't find you when they search... this is for you. Here's what you're doing wrong 👇 One of the most common topics I get asked about is indexing issues... Getting your site onto Google is step 1. Once you're there, you can then progress to page 1. If you're struggling with the 1st step, the below infographic is for you. The issues include: Incorrect Google Search Console connection Lack of backlinks Password-protected site Thin content (<300 words on the page) Lack of value in the content No Google My Business setup (or general lack of internet presence) No index tags Poor on-page optimization Google still processing your indexing Brand new website or domain (Google Sandbox) Removal from search results Unfortunately, the list goes on, but these are the main issues ✅ Ziggy 1 Henry Purchase Founder of SEOSpace - the leading Squarespace SEO experts. MajPil
Hi Henry have you ever met this issue (I see several users struggling and no one seems to have an answer): On a website´s homepage Squarespace auto-generates a slug after the URL for the main site. Removing it is not an option, you can change the words of the slug, but "no slug" is not an option. This duplicates all content in search engines a Google Search Console warns that it negatively affects your page´s ranking. In a guide Squarespace even notes that there should be no slug after the url for the main page. (Screendump attached). My main page is an index i 7.0, but other users has the same issue with blank pages, folders, etc. Link to comment
