Smooch
I’m doing some work on a site that is currently on the business plan. To start selling I believe this needs to be upgraded to commerce basic. However I had a few questions if people could help me: 1) The reason I’m not able to make a store page is due to the plan and not due to the template, Montauk? 2) If Squarespace charge 3% fees on service transactions this must mean you can setup selling using the “business” plan? How are people doing this? Basically I’m try to keep the process simple for the end users and they’re not coders. However, I don’t want to make them upgrade if I have missed something obvious or using a third party plugin like strip or square is easy and can be used with the business plan? Link to comment
Solution creedon Posted October 24, 2023 Solution Share Posted October 24, 2023 Quote 1) The reason I’m not able to make a store page is due to the plan and not due to the template, Montauk? I'm confused. Are you saying you are unable to create a Product page on your v7.0 using the Montauk template family? I create Store/Products pages all the time on trial sites. So the plan you have has nothing to do with the ability to create store/products pages. The plan does have an effect on if the store can be used by site visitors and how much you pay in fees and such. Find my contributions useful? Smooch
Thank you, I'm quite new to SquareSpace so terminology is tripping me up. I was looking for "Store" as a lot of the how to documents refer to it. I was getting an error when adding the product page but realised I had to click on the unlinked page I wanted to associate it with. thank you pointing this out Link to comment
