Formatting changing on larger screens

Recommended Posts

Website looks fine in the builder and on most screens, but the formatting is weird when it's scaled up onto a larger monitor. Pictured is our website on a Gigabyte 2‎7-inch gaming monitor M27Q, with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. From the photos, the text is pretty small and hard to read, and is also now on a darker background (so the black text does not stand out).

Is there anything I can do to help our website scale up/down better? Any custom code?

Thanks in advance.

Can you share your website URL and explain a little more about how you want to improve the design on larger screens? What do you want it to look like? What does it currently look like on smaller screens?

Hi Ziggy,

the url is https://danwellsinvestors.com/

On a regular-sized screen the website, the header shows like this

In my original post, you can see from the photos how the positioning of the photo makes the header hard to see. Not sure why this is only happening on large monitors, and how we can fix this? It also looks like (in my original post) the width of the image is not enough to cover the entire width of the page - I assume Squarespace would have scaled the image up/down depending on the dimensions of the monitor viewing the page.

I'm not sure why the banner image is not filling the screen, I can't replicate that. The image position could be potentially improved by either having a wider/taller image i.e. zoomed out more, or tweaking the image focal point.
