Bleed Image Into Site Header

I have a section at the top, which uses a large image on one side. However, with the section being at the top, the image stops below the site header. I am wondering if there is some code, or in-squarespace setting to have this image go into the site header, so it looks more seamless.

Try using this method for the split left/right. Doing it this way will allow the image on the right to be set as a background image which will allow it to go behind the header.
