Possible to fade in multiple image blocks and overlayed text?

I want the image on the right of the page (site linked above and here) to be time replaced with another image and text block similar to the attached (mock up just to give you the idea). Not if you would call this a carousel or a gallery or simply an animation.. ?

What is the best way to accomplish this movement? 

Have you tried using Gallery Section Slideshow or List Section or Summary Block Carousel for this yet?
