Is there a way to add a button at the end of a blog post? I am using version 7.1 and I don't seem to be able to add a new section after the template text?

Blog posts don't have page sections but you can add a Button Block after your last block.

When you hover over the end of the bottom block in your post, a "plus" marker should appear. Clicking this should offer you a choice of blocks.
