SPEqualNoGood
Hello, New to squarespace. Trying to track Conversions for a Google Ads campaign. I've set-up Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager; however, I don't see a way to properly inject GTM as it does not allow me to modify anything after the opening <body> tag. (for the 2nd piece of GTM code) Looking to track: tel: link clicks, mailto: link clicks, and contact form submissions. There is only one form on the website, used on two different pages. Any advice about how to best approach this? I'm used to GTM and debugging that way. GA4 is deployed on the website too. Squarespace support is extremely unhelpful with almost anything. They wouldn't even tell me where the Code Injection lives. Thank you for your time, help, and ideas! Link to comment
Gorfus
It's because you can't do it and they are hiding that from customers. There is a workaround using code injection and a custom state conversion if you upgrade to the business plan. Here's a walkthrough on youtube. ron1cne 1 Link to comment
ron1cne
In the video, he tracks the class="form-submission-text" that is stable in the post-submit pop-up. He's not using anything custom here. He's just monitoring the element visibility and reporting on it. Edited July 16 by ron1cne Link to comment
