Help with Reverting Color Choices

Hi All.  I'm trying to change the background color for secondary buttons.  I can successfully change it in the Style Editor for the Theme that applies to that button, and the change takes effect.  When I save and then exit the page, however, the button color reverts to the default.  I'm brand new to the forum so please forgive me if the question has been answered before.  I'd appreciate any suggestions.
