Newest Squarespace Update - Developer Tools -> URL Injections not working with Safari

Recommended Posts

Posted

In the newest update that Squarespace has enabled, I cannot seem to get into the Developer section on Safari, had to use Chrome. Doesn't matter how many times I am click, or where, the panel will not expand allowing me to enter a change the URL injection I have been using for months.

Yes I have cleared the reloaded the page, yes I have cleared my cache, yes I am upset that this was not tested yet implemented.

I am unable to reproduce your issue.

Try using the search icon shown in the first second of the video. You can also try the forward slash ( / ) search feature. If the forward slash doesn't pop the search dialog, click in a grey area near the top of the panel in some dead space to focus on the panel.

What version of Safari are you using and what version of macOS? Do you have any extensions installed for Safari? I usually check my ad blocker first.

Let us know how it goes.

Love that it works for you.

Even with the search icon, which I don't need since I know where it is located, it will open but will not allow me to paste or edit the actual injection code.

I am using Ventura 13.4.1 and Safari 16.5.2, no extensions or ad blockers installed.

Video included of going to Settings -> Developer Tools
