Llink my logo in Squarespace to an external website

Hi, I'm trying to link my logo to an external site, opening in the same window. Please can someone help as all the code I have found on this forum so far isn't working. Thank you.

What version of Squarespace are you using?

yes tried that and it just links back to the homepage i'm afraid

Can you share your website URL and version of Squarespace.

Can you also post here exactly what code you added to your footer code injection. 

website url is https://journal.ronherman.com

https://reed-coconut-rs8b.squarespace.com

and the version is 7.1 

The footer code injection has nothing in it at the moment.

You have this code in the Footer Code Injection?
