Digital Products Add-ons and Courses

Hello,

I'm finding it very difficult. to find much useful info on the Digital Products Add-Ons. 

I want to try the new courses function but I won't be doing that if I have to pay 9% transaction fees. So I want to know more about the Digital Add Ons packages which supposedly reduce or remove that transaction fee. 

Does anyone know where I can find info on prices for the digital add ons packages, and info on features of each package?

I'm working in AU$ dollars so that info would be helpful too.

I did not know about this add-on until now, and I just recently upgraded to the Commerce plan to be able to sell a subscriptions to my membership/subscription based business (no physical products).

But, is it correctly understood that it would make more sense for me to downgrade to a Business plan, and get a Digital Product add on instead? Would I loose any functionality beyond Abandoned card recovery and Advanced shipping (both functions I do not use)?

I see no-one replied @AugustSeptimius - yes, you are right. you can downgrade the plan and add the digital add-on instead.

Man, they sure hide this well... 😡 I just switched a client from a horrid LMS to Squarespace, telling her it was so great. She got her first sell and told me there was 12% taken out (3% for Stripe and 9% for Squarespace) and she was BIG MAD!) She's been on Squarespace selling services for years... I simply looked at the footer under Products > Pricing (which is the logical place to look for all pricing BTW) and her plan said 0% transaction fees. 

Needless to say, I'm in a pickle now because I've charged her for a move that she's unhappy about. But 9% transaction fee is ridiculous! Even Kajabi has a 0% trans fee and the functionality is much more flexible! I feel like this is a money grab on Squarespace's end.

The only reason I'm interested in the digital add-ons plan is for the discount codes feature? 

Does the plan allow these to be used on regular products (I only sell downloads but I believe this is in the same category as physical products)? And to what extent will this functionality be available to me?
