Making Text Blocks Appear When Specific Words Are Clicked?

Hey everyone, 

I'm wondering if something would be possible to do in Squarespace or if I'm completely barking up the wrong tree. 

Basically: an idea has been floated for a new website I'm trying to build of having certain trigger words which, when clicked, cause more text to appear. Sometimes it would be a new text simply showing up further down the page, sometimes it would be new text boxes showing up on the side or in the margins of the text box. The kicker is that sometimes the "trigger" words need to simply be words in the middle of a sentence within a paragraph, rather than headers or words that can be on their own, so I don't think this can be accomplished by simply using an accordion block.

The example that I've been given as the platonic ideal is Harmonia, where you begin with just a few words on the screen, then when you click "Begin" more text loads in, more things appear as you click on the highlighted word, a new section loads in when you click  "unlocked," and so on. 

Basically, I guess I'm asking if there's a way to reproduce that sort of style within Squarespace, and if anyone has any ideas of where to begin for something like this. Or if it just seems like the wrong platform for something like this, that's good to know too!

This is possible but will require a lot of JavaScript, and when you add a new text, you still need new code.

It is also quite difficult to update and control the layout if you are not good at coding

In particular, you will need to adjust it so that it always displays correctly on many screen sizes
