captions sometimes show and sometimes dont

hello - I am freaking out because a site I built a year ago appears to be having issues.  The captions on the properties page are not showing consistently. Earlier today I couldnt see them on Safari, but could see them on Chrome.  Now its the reverse.  Sometimes when i am editing, I can get them to reappear by toggling on and off the color.  I did play around with these captions in CSS, but when I delete that code, the problem still exists.  Here is a picture of the results I am seeing.  You can see SOME Captoins are there.  I can even get them to show if i drag the bottom right corner of the window up and down.  Squarespace has not seen the same thing when I chat with them but both me and my client are seeing this behavior.  Any ideas or do I need to rebuild this site?

I've checked on both Chrome and Safari. Looks fine on both, no issues.

I has similar issue before and changed the animations in site styles and it fixed it.
