Scrolling Issue in Google Chrome

Hi - having trouble with page scrolling in chrome only. Our site is meant to have a loop where, when scrolled to the bottom of a page, the home page reveals itself. In chrome, when you get near to revealing the home page again there's a visual issue that varies time to time: sometimes leaving a partially black screen, other times fragments of the prior page stick in place. The text from the home page is always visible, but the rest of the page only appears at the bottom. I've included two different examples of that in images.

In MS Edge (and Safari) it works fine, and I've included an image of how it should look when you've scrolled to the bottom of the page and it works.

Any advice as to what's happening here?
