Contents of Folder in Main Navigation not visible when hovered over on desktop view

It is an About section containing Bio and Awards, when I hover over it in desktop view a white rectangle appears with white text so it cannot be seen, they are clickable though. In the Mobile view it's absolutely fine and not a problem as there is no white box. I have a feeling that the answer will be to change by style colours, however I'm worried about messing up other parts of the site.

You can remove the background colour with this Custom CSS:

body:not(.header--menu-open) [data-header-style="gradient"].header .header-nav-folder-content, body:not(.header--menu-open) [data-header-style="gradient"].header .language-picker-content {
    background-color: none;
}

I've gone into Website Tools/Custom CSS pasted in the code above, saved it and nothing has changed, am I missing out a step?

Try this instead:

.header-nav-folder-content {
    background-color: none !important;
}

I have pasted that instead but still no change 🤷‍♂️
