Website Won't Publish

I recently registered blackrocklodgestowe.com with Squarespace and also subscribed with them to build a website. I am a novice and am not real technical when it comes to website development and publishing.

Website has been built and I turned the site to "public" however the site doesn't load when I type in the domain. I get a "Failed To Open Page".

I have read through all of the guides and the only thing I see is that after you build a website you have to turn it to public and it should be all set. As I said I have done that and it still doesn't work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you assign the domain to the site? That has to be done if you registered the domain before you built your site. Here is a simple guide to activate your domain and connect it to your site.

I believe I did this. I registered the domain through Squarespace. When I go to the domain section, I see my domain, www.blackrocklodgestowe.com and I also see a "custom" domain.

First thing is to verify your domain,

Second is to set it as your primary domain:

Thank you for your help. Frustrating but both of these were done. I had verified and the blackrocklodgestowe.com is showing "primary" next to it.

Any other ideas?

• Following. I'm having the same issue. I've published other squarespace sites and as I remember, they publish quickly. I'm wondering if now it needs some time to process. I can't find anything about how long it might take them to go live. (I did find articles stating it could take up to 72 hours to transfer a domain.)

Up to 72 hours, that is correct. But it us usually much faster than that. 

Very nice site! I may copy the master bathroom when I add one to the upstairs of my new home.
