mp2018 Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 Hi, While running an SEO audit of my website, I just noticed that in have 2 H1 tags in my source code. In front, however, I only see one. I don't know how to remove the second H1, or at least, change it into an H2. Attached, where I see both H1. I have no clue how to change that. Any idea? Thanks

creedon Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 (edited) The two h1 are normal as far as SS is concerned. SS has two sections of detail. One for desktop display and one for mobile display, hence the two h1. So the question for SEO experts is, do the crawlers read content that is display none. Do multiple h1 cause an issue. I ran across an article that Google changed the penalization of no h1 or multiple h1 some time ago. Google, at least, uses h1 for contextual purposes now, not as a checklist of is a page good or bad. In other words Google has raised the art and added contextual understanding into their crawler. Edited November 23, 2023 by creedon Collaborada 1 Find my contributions useful?
