Members Area: Some members are experiencing an issue when registering

Many of our members have been able to register and login without issue, but as of today, this morning we have received several complaints that they are unable to even register or login now and they receive a message saying that they must become a member first, but it won't even show them the sign-up form anymore.

The thing is it is only happening to certain people, not all.

A couple of quick questions:

What is the URL of the page where they try to register?

Does this page contain a Digital Product Block to allow them to sign-up?

see above and thank you for your help! I just tried moving the button to see if that is causing any issue, because yesterday everything was fine but we did move the button to the top section where the digital product was and after that it started to not work ONLY for certain people in certain states

That sounds more like a technical issue so I'd encourage you to inform Squarespace directly by raising a ticket through Squarespace Customer Care. They can check the backend to see why it didn't work for them.

It may be user-error from what they are telling us, everything in the backend is good. We are sending out specific instructions to those signing up to see if that is the case. They might not have been using the register button and using the login....but we are pending to see if that is the case......as of right now issues on-going

It is a somewhat unintuitive process for users as they need to create the account (on a bland, black and white box) and then complete the 'purchase' afterwards. I do hope they improve this aspect soon, as many the Member Sites features are improving all the time.
