IreneG91
Hi all! I'm having a hard time figuring out where to manage my categories in the York template. I'm on 7.0. In some distant past, I set a number of categories to use on my site's home page/project page, but now I would like to be able to edit the list of categories and apply/remove them as needed. Any help is appreciated! Link to comment
creedon
Categories and tags are generally managed from the page settings panel. Hover over a page in Pages. Click on the gear icon. Find the categories or tags. Let us know how it goes. Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile. Thanks for your support! Solution Kes Posted September 26, 2023 Solution Share Posted September 26, 2023 It just happens I was recently messing with this too. In the York template, each project is itself a collection. When you upload images etc to your project, you have the option to add categories to each item within your project collection. Once they are added to the items, they can be managed at the collection/project level. To manage Categories you already have on your Alto Farms project: Navigate to pages Choose settings on your Alto Farms project Choose Advanced Then Manage Categories You can remove categories here. If you need to add a new category: Navigate to pages Navigate in to your project Choose settings for an item in your "Alto Farms" project collection (an image, for example) In the content section, scroll down to categories, select it Add a category Link to comment
IreneG91
Wow @Kes thank you!! That was a totally convoluted process but it worked. While experimenting with this, I also found at least one page where I could both add AND remove tags in one modal... not sure what the difference was. But consider this solved! TY! 💜 Link to comment
