ConorRom Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 I traditionally used Google Domains for my HTML5 website domains and hosting though GitHub Pages. With Squarespace buying up Google Domains, I decided to try Squarespace out and am currently not very happy with the service. I am having problems I believe because my domain is attached to a square space website template which I canceled the trail on trying to get it to connect to GitHub pages. If anyone could help I would appreciate it, otherwise I am just going to take the loss and move services. RIP Google Domains.
at93om Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 (edited) Same Issue here. Did You figure it out? Update: After an hour. It was solved. Certainly, it the time for the new configurations to take effect. Edited September 29, 2023 by at93om Update
creedon Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 The DNS system by it's very nature is a cache/propagation based system. Changes you make to your DNS records can take from minutes to 72 hours, normal range. When mistakes are made or issues arise it can take longer. Find my contributions useful? bdenham Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 I'm running into the same problems configuring my .dev domain. I purchased it on Squarespace after using Google Domains. Big mistake. Squarespace won't issue an SSL certificate for my .dev domain (which I bought 2 weeks ago) for this reason: SSL certificates are unavailable These domains are not correctly connected to your Squarespace site. To fix this, use the Website Default preset from the dropdown menu in DNS Settings. So I'm pretty much stuck at the moment. I recently initiated a transfer of this domain to another registrar.
