Custom fonts not showing up on blog

Hi,

I'm trying to get a title to appear at the top of my blog page, ideally on a coloured background — as per another page on my site: https://www.anxietyempire.com/sponsors

But on the blogpage, it doesn't seem possible to create it in the same way as other pages. So, I've tried an the image with text over the top.... but the image comes up with a border on either side of it, and the font isn't my custom font. 

Does anyone know if there are easy fixes for this?

(The custom font is showing up on the titles for each blogpost, but just not for the text on this image).
