rachelswitala
Squarespace support has shared that their search bar (for keywords for blogs, articles on a site etc) is broken and there's no timeframe for fixing it. When you search for any word, it yields zero results, but when you do it a second time, it works. Obviously users won't know to try it twice. If anyone knows of a custom code to re-install search, please help! Thanks! Link to comment
Ziggy
If you want a search option for blogs, then you could consider the SquareWesbites Universal Filter plugin, it adds great filters for blogs and also a functioning search bar! Honestly I think that good categories and tags are often better than a search bar which by definition is open-ended and very easy for a user to search for a term and come up with nothing, whereas with good filter categories and tags it is much better defined. It isn't possible fix the internal search feature, but there are a number of third party search services that can be integrated with Squarespace. They vary widely in features and prices but here are some suggestions: Universal Filter. Squarespace specific filtering with search ($70 one-off payment). SearchIQ. Fast and intelligent search, from $19pm (without branding). Swiftype by Elasticsearch. Enterprise-class solution from $79pm. Programmable search engine. A Google service that you can get for free or a low price. Did this help?
