RROOK Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Hi, I see multiple questions about custom fonts not showing on a mobile phone. Using font face code etc. For us a generic Squarespace font (Work Sans) is not showing when looking at the site on a mobile phone). But I can't find the solution how to solve that problem. See attached file for the font that is showing. Anybody know how to correct this? Thanks in advance,

Ziggy Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 How have you applied the fonts? Are you using Custom CSS of just the fonts in the style menu? RROOK Posted September 21, 2023 Author Posted September 21, 2023 Just the fonts in the style menu. Work Sans is in the generic list.
Ziggy Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 That's what I thought, but wanted to double-check. I've not seen this problem with the built-in fonts. It could be a browser or cache issue on your phone, can you test on a different browser? Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers! RROOK Posted September 21, 2023 Author Posted September 21, 2023 Chrome and Safari both show the wrong font. On safari I used a private tab, so the cache shouldn't be used?
Ziggy Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Honestly I think there's something weird going on with iOS devices not rendering fonts and other styles, it's a problem I've heard about on more than a few occasions (not quite like your situation) but always on iOS. I don't have a solution, but it seems fine on android if that's any consolation. I would suggest talking to Squarespace Support, even if it's just to report the issue: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/requests/new#choose-topic RROOK 1 Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. RROOK Posted September 22, 2023 Author Posted September 22, 2023 Okay, thanks for the quick replies, Ziggy. I will contact Support. Cheers. Richard
Solution RROOK Posted October 6, 2023 Author Solution Posted October 6, 2023 Squarespace couldn't see what was going wrong either. But selecting another font from the list, saving that, and then changing back to Work Sans did the trick. But be aware when doing that, because the new font didn't have all the variables of Work Sans. So after the change I had to submit the original parameters again. sarawhite 1
