Why cant I edit the theme styles (colors, typogrpahy)

Hello, 

I am working on a clients site and they added me as a contributor, they then said to me that they have given me admin access but I still can't see the options for being able to edit their colors and typography. They are using 7.0 and they want to keep it like that but want a design refresh so first I need to be able to change to a new typography and new colors

Does the client needs to do something else or click on something specific to be able to give me access to change those things?

What am I missing? usually clients put me as an admin and that lets me change everything

Are you going to Design > Sites Styles?
