Alphabetical Filter Custom for Calendar

I've been trying to add an event calendar to my website that looks similar to the attached example. Specifically, I'm interested in matching the look and date placement of the filter in the attachment.

I haven't been able to find any plugins that meet these criteria.

Can anyone assist me with this?
