CamilleSuzanne
Hello! I would to know how my website is received by you all and what I can do to make it look more professional. I also fear that the loading time is slow, although I'm not sure how to fix that! Thanks very much for you time! Camille https://www.coupeandmixer.com/ Link to comment
Intentional
Hello! I like what you've done with your site. I agree that the photos are slow to load. Try compressing them with https://tinypng.com/ - that should help speed things up. You could also increase the font size in places to improve readability. For example: https://www.coupeandmixer.com/workshops - enlarging the text in the how it works bit alongside the photo would better balance that section. The first few paragraphs on https://www.coupeandmixer.com/about could benefit from being larger as well. I'd also add one or two line breaks/paragraphs into the quote to avoid the TL:DR effect. Finally, I'd hide/wait on the calendar until you have events to show. Being empty, it's working against you rather than for you. You could list events individually until your calendar fills up enough to warrant displaying it by month. Nice work, though! Looks great overall. studiofounded
Hi @CamilleSuzanne Firstly, I love the vibe, imagery, and fresh color palette! Here are a few suggestions: On the home page, your calls to action (Workshops, Bar Services, Let's Talk) are images. This is problematic, both for SEO and for accessibility, as anyone with a visual impairment won't be able to read this text. I recommend switching them to text with some descriptive copy (why should they click?) and buttons to help direct visitors to the right places. Your home page is running very slowly as you have some pretty huge images (7.08MB of just images). You should aim for your entire page size to be 2-4MB. Be sure to compress and optimize all your images for web. I would move the about page further up your header so it isn't last on the list. The story behind a brand is so importance for truly connecting with your audience! I would add more about why you started the brand — what is it about teaching guests to make their own cocktails that motivates you? What problem are you solving for your audience? Add pages for your Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and cancellations/refunds. This will help build trust and credibility (and will protect you from legal issues).
