Is there a way for the content of a block to automatically update its contents where is has been copied to another page but the original block has had some of the original content updated. 

For example, if I have a block with 1 picture in it, duplicate that block to another page but then add to the original block a second picture is there a way to have the duplicated box update to now include the second picture ?

Hi,

There is no default feature to achieve this. You try this plugin: https://www.will-myers.com/products/p/section-loader-supreme

The idea of the plugin is to create it from one page, and when you want to insert it in many other pages, use plugin code. When you change content on the initial page, all other pages will update.
