Issue with Search Console not indexing pages - could the problem be my square space xml site map?

Hi all,

I launched my website over a week ago and submitted my pages + xml site map to Google for indexing.

While each individual URL when checked with the inspector tool tells me it can be indexed and I get all the green ticks, my site still isn’t indexed.

After verification of the automatically generated site map from my squarespace https://www.diversity-incorporation.com/sitemap.xml/ I realised that key pages were missing such as my homepage.

as squarespace won’t let us edit these, what should I do?
