I changed the background color of my navigation links, but when I do, the button either stacks or gets pushed to the side.

I changed the background color of my navigation links  to the orange color shown, but when I did, the button either stacks or gets pushed to the side. I want the button to be to the right of the Gramercy logo as show in the picture below.
