Customise form

I've tried to add custom css to my form to make it smaller (everything relative and ratioed).
I've tried to add this code as a test to see if it will apply the changes but nothing seems to work

    font-size: 1rm; !important;
    font-style: italic;
    
    }

    font-size: 1rm; !important;
    font-style: italic; !important;
