CAN I EDIT THE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A MEMBER ON MY SITE

At the moment the default reqirements to register and gain access to my member site is name and email. I would like to add a social media account filed to be completed as a madatory requirement too. Is there anyway to edit that box that appears when customers hit the become a member button?
