alkaym
I am trying to figure out how to format the footnotes on my website. We are a university law review and regularly upload articles with hundreds of footnotes per article. We were previously using a hovering footnote like this, but unfortunately, these do not meet our university web accessibility requirements. On our previous Wordpress site, we were able to have footnotes copied/pasted from the original format of the article in a Word Doc and have these footnotes link from the number in the text to the actual information of the footnote at the bottom of the page (would jump to the bottom of the article). Currently, doing so appears to have the footnotes linked (e.g. if we upload it will show as a link at the location of the footnote and the link will end with #_ftnNUMBER (photo below for reference). However, clicking on this footnote does nothing and it does not actually move to the bottom of the page. Any help would be greatly appreciated, or if anyone has alternatives for formatting hundreds of footnotes without manually editing each one as a link, that would be excellent.
