How to get the URL for uploaded custom fonts in updated Custom CSS panel

Recommended Posts

I am having trouble retrieving the custom font URL after uploading custom fonts in the updated Custom Files panel in Squarespace 7.1. Whenever I click on the name of the uploaded font (or image), a system open dialog box appears instead of inserting the URL of the uploaded file.

Can anyone in the forums or at Squarespace advise me on how to retrieve the URL properly? It is evident that the feature is not functioning as it used to.

You can upload via this guide: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205813928-Uploading-and-managing-files

suppose your font file name is: mont.ttf

and your domain is: andtech.squarespace.com

the font file url will be: andtech.squarespace.com/s/mont.ttf

then paste this url to browser address bar and enter, the real url will appear, you can use to add custom font via CSS box

Thank you, @tuanphan for the additional solution to retrieve a URL for custom uploads in the CSS Panel.

I'm not sure if this feature was recently added or if it wasn't working for me before, but I need to make an update to my forum post. I noticed that the list of custom uploads now appears in a dynamic drop-down menu when I'm writing CSS and preparing to enter a URL() parameter.

Yes. If you upload font via Custom CSS box, a dropdown will appear, you can click font name and url will paste to your code
