How to make linked videos for the video gallery to be 16:9 ratio or to remove the extra top and bottom padding for the thumbnails?

As you can see the on the video gallery page the thumbnails for the youtube linked videos have extra padding for the top and bottom. I just want it to be the regular 16:9 ratio for a cleaner look. Is there a way to do this with css? I didn't see any area where I can adjust this on squarespace.
