fadizeitoune
I know this has been covered in a lot of other posts, as I have been going over them to figure out what I am doing wrong when mapping a non-squarespace domain on cpanel to my squarespace site. I have deleted all the zone records in cpanel and used only the details provided by squarespace, but it is STILL returning a series of errors related to the CNAME, A and AAAA records. I'm not a "techie", but I am reasonably capable of making the changes outlined in a bunch of other posts. I'd really appreciate it if someone could please look at the attached comparison images of the cpanel zone records and the corresponding errors in Squarespace... Please note: - this is the second time I have deleted all the cpanel zone records, disconnected the domain from squarespace (after connection failure), and tried again; - I added the MX record at the bottom only because I thought I might screw up something with the email, not sure if this is a problem or not. - there is an old site that's currently 'live' that was hosted on cpanel in the File Manager. What do I do with the files associated with that site? Delete/move/ignore? Edited August 25, 2023 by fadizeitoune Link to comment

The Squarespace page is showing the correct details, as the DNS settings are currently wrong. I can see that you have signed up for Microsoft 365 and, as part of this setup, you have elected to change your domain's nameservers to Microsoft (for example ns1.bdm.microsoftonline.com) instead of the domain provider. This means that editing the DNS records in your domain provider's cPanel will not affect the live records. As your domain name is now hosted on Microsoft, to change your live records, you'll need to edit the DNS records on Microsoft's panel instead. To do this, log on to M365 and go to Settings > Domains, select the domain name and then, on the domain details page, select the DNS records tab where you'll be able to add/edit the records. fadizeitoune
Thanks so much! I don't host the site so I wasn't aware of the doman being hosted by MS365. I'll give that a go! Link to comment
