Cannot see current paid subscribers count

We currently sell our product only by subscription, and would like to be able to see how many current subscribers we have at a glance; this isn't currently possible (yes we have been through Squarespace support and they have admitted this is a oft-asked-for feature but hasn't been added yet). 

(we'd love to sell it either one-off *or* by subscription for a lower price, but squarespace doesn't seem to allow that EITHER...if you have a workaround please share...)

Does anyone have a workaround for this? Or know how we can easily do a data export & see this statistic in a 3rd party app like a spreadsheet without hiring a coder? 

I have subs too and it would be nice to see them.  This doesn't seem too hard to offer, I hope they do it.
