Moving the site to a new design

Hi.

I have a site on Squarespace that needs a major rework.

I've created a new design for it, from the ground up, using the trial version for the new site.

Can I now create a custom theme from this, which I will load on the site for which I have a business subscription, or is this not possible and I must either recreate the new design on the old site, or purchase a second subscription?

There's no good way to move an entire new design from one website to another. You best bet will be to purchase a new subscription on the new design, and then contact Sqaurespace Support, they should (if you have an annual subscription) be able to give you a pre-rated refund for the time you have left. You can then move your custom domain and any other tracking codes etc to the new design.

This is still the best method, but does have some downsides that you'll loose your Squarespace analytics as they can't be moved between websites, but you can connect Google Analytics if that's something you want to use.
