Header social icons showing despite being disabled in header

Hello all 🙂

I have several sites with Squarespace, this one is on the cheapest plan and is a one page resume page for freelance work. Lately, its been taking a lot of time to get sites live so I can't get you a link but here are the screenshots. I do code injection at the started level. Can I do CSS? 

I really need to get this site marketed to make money and I can't with this bug. So I would really appreciate any help. 

Please check attached files. Once I get click the socials off in the header it goes away but then reappears. I can't have any socials for my freelance site (those are all connected to my other business).
