reneecornuestudio
Hi there, I am a photographer. I use Format for my personal portfolio, but I have several clients that use Squarespace. On my personal portfolio with Format, I am able to prompt visitors with a copyright message when they right click an image without dis-allowing them to right-click elsewhere on my website. i.e. they can still "open link in new tab" and copy text, translate, etc. but can't easily steal images without know-how or plugins, etc. Now I know that this isn't a foolproof way to prevent image theft. If you are here to only tell me that, then please save the breath. But I work with a few bands who want to prevent venues/press from just right-clicking and saving images on their site and instead prompt them with a message that says essentially "for approved press photos, visit our EPK page" while still being able to utilize other right-click functions. If Format can figure it out, then surely someone else has the know-how since it seems Squarespace isn't interested in offering this as a function on its sites. Link to comment
