eeweevil
Hi there, I'm a photographer and we regularly upload images to our FTP for clients to view and download. We've now switched to squarespace for our website and I didn't even look into the whole FTP thing, it definitely slipped my mind even though its a function we used a lot. We usually use the FTP twice for every shoot, we upload proofs, non-final images, and then the finalized high res, big images as .TIF, .EPS files. If I can't use FTP, is there a way to make a download page for our images for clients? With FTP we basically create a folder for a client and then upload to that page, so really it would just be like a page per client? Or using a password to access specific files? I'm just not sure what to do exactly, and I want it that clients can only see THEIR images not others. Thanks in advance for any replies Link to comment
creedon
SS eschews how old school websites functioned trying to isolate the average user from things like FTP. You will need to find another method to share files. I suggest looking at Google Drive or Dropbox as a starting point for sharing files. Let us know how it goes. Find my contributions useful?
