Tags, when clicked or typed in to Browser URL bar, point to homepage

I have added a multitude of tags to my blog posts, and only just realized that when they are clicked, or when you type a /tag/example+tag/ URL in to the browser, that they all just direct back to my homepage. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

Adding a site-wide password does not allow anyone to alter your site. It only allows those with the password to see your site.
