inluck
Hi community After a month of setting up and running our new small e-commerce business with Squarespace, everything has been great so far except one thing: we cannot work on SEO settings for individual category or sub-category pages. Our sitemap looks good as of now and all the URLs of category pages together with the slugs have been proper, SEO-optimized, and published. The only SEO setting we can manipulate is the "Shop" page (the master link for the Shop section). Whenever we click the setting button of a category page and rephrase the SEO description or title, the "Shop" page SEO will change reflectively, which is strange. Does this mean Squarespace does not support category-level pages in SEO settings? Or do I need to inject development codes to interfere with this? Appreciate all the feedback and helpful advice. nbd1570048695 1 Link to comment
SEOSpace_Henry
Hi @inluck - unfortunately, you can't edit the SEO settings of category or sub-category pages. I have discovered a code from @WillMyers which works really well to help customise them/maximise SEO potential. Feel free to check out the below video: WillMyers and inluck 2 Henry Purchase Founder of SEOSpace - the SEO plugin for Squarespace. Seems like I may have to dive into the shared video to see if we can alternatively do anything else to optimize the site ranking. SEOSpace_Henry 1 Link to comment
K4NDY
Watched the video and created those pages - but how will those pages appear in individual search results in a specialised way? As in, you can't decide the search result title of category and sub-category pages? Link to comment
