Setting up conversion tracking in Google

I'm trying to add code (supplied by Google) to my main site button so my Google Ads campaign can be optimised. I have a Squarespace business plan. 

But when I use the code block or inject codes options, there's no option to insert the code (it's a Google Tag insert snippet code string). 

Does anyone have tips on how to do this? 

There's a SqSp video tutorial but the options they're showing there don't come up for me in SqSp.

Hi, Are you using Squarespace 7.1 or 7.0 version? Can you also maybe share a screenshot where you tried to add the code?

Thanks Lesum - Google support walked me through the steps. They were pretty complicated, including getting set up in Google Tag Manager. But all sorted now!
