Peak Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 I'm fairly new to square space and I have found most of my issues resolved easily through this forum. I noticed while trying to apply social links to my header, body, and or footer I was getting the same result. I tried to clear my cache, remove all extensions, and even make sure my browser was up to date. No matter what I do though the icons are still not visible. I am able to click where they should be and get directed to where I want, but I cannot get the actual icon itself to appear for the life of me. I'm not sure if maybe I just have some old custom code that is interfering with the icon display or what it may be but I cannot pinpoint anything. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Peak Posted August 14, 2023 Author Posted August 14, 2023 Sorry for the late response. Here is the URL to the specific page I have the social icons on at the moment. https://peakvisionclinic.com/contact-us

I had no idea that drop down was even there. I went through and double checked but the secondary color is definitely set to black. I even tried a few other colors just to see if something would show on the posted site. Unfortunately for some reason as soon as I close out the editor it reverts back to blank circles instead of the color I have chosen.
Peak Posted August 17, 2023 Author Posted August 17, 2023 Here is an example of what I am seeing on my end. As long as I am in the editing screen on ss I am able to see the icons. As soon as I exit the editing menu though they display just like the live site on the right without the logos.
Solution creedon Posted August 17, 2023 Solution Posted August 17, 2023 (edited) Ah ha! Upon further digging, you have a syntax error in your RAD Tracking code. Go to Settings > Developer Tools > Code Injection > FOOTER. Find the following... <!-- RAD Tracking Code END → ...and change it to... <!-- RAD Tracking Code END --> The reason things work in the editor is it tries to keep these kinds of errors from preventing you editing your site. The downside being that you can't see some errors until you get out of the editor. The kind of syntax error we see here could have been introduced by passing the code through a word processor. When dealing with code you should use a code processor or a dumb word processor like Notepad. Let us know how it goes. Edited August 18, 2023 by creedon Find my contributions useful?
